We can help with your mold payback analysis. A low volume part may be built of aluminum and use hand loaded inserts to eliminate costly slides. A medium volume part will require a medium hardness steel and slides to define side features. A high volume part will produce multiple parts per cycle and be built of a hardened tool steel. Some plastics require stainless steel molds or special plating to avoid corrosion of the mold over time.

We have a nationwide customer base, and have the expertise to assist in mold and part design. Selecting the correct tool steel and part design can greatly impact the cost of molding. A correctly designed part and mold can run unattended, thereby reducing the final part cost. A poorly designed and built mold can require operators to separate parts, remove flash and inspect.
